I have been thinking of making naan using bread machine ever since I brough the machine home. I cooked a very nice Andhra style mutton curry yesterday, and there is no better thing than naan to go with the mutton.

Ingredients:
Active dry yeast 3g
1/2 cup of warm water
2.5 tbsps Sugar
1.5 tbsps Whole milk
Half egg (beaten)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2.5 cups of all purpose flour
2.5 tbsps Butter (room temperature)

First add all ingredients beside butter into the bread machine, make sure the salt and yeast should not touch each other.

Press the knead button, knead dough for about 15 minutes, add butter, and knead for another 15 minutes, turn off the machine and cover the dough with damped cloth. Let the dough raised double its size.

Take out the dough, hand knead till all the air came out, then cover it with clean damped cloth, and preheat the oven to 500 F, remember to preheat with a piece of pizza stone.

Now sprinkle a little flour on baking mat, pull out dough size of ping pong ball, roll it out about 2 mm thick.

Pull the rolled out dough, and it would aotomatically become pearl drop shape, pull out the preheated pizza stone, place the naan dough on the stone, bake it for 3 minutes.

Turn the bread around for 45 seconds, take it out and brush a thin layer of ghee on the surface… it is done!

Fresh homemade naan.

It was eaten with mutton curry…..Don’t mind the plate… as my hubby cant wait…
